The IICA Functional Safety Engineer SIS training course has been developed by IICA for automation and control professionals and risk engineers in the process industries. IICA is an accepted course provider in the TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Program and TUV Rheinland will award qualified participants who pass the exam at the end of the course a FS Engineer (TUV Rheinland) certificate.

The course is based on the latest edition of IEC 61511 and provides detailed insights and fundamental understanding of functional safety concepts, industry standards and the methodologies used to determine and maintain safety integrity levels (SILs) in safety instrumented systems used in the process industries. It emphasises the actions you need to take to comply with the functional safety standards.

The course schedule is:
Monday 27 - Thursday 30 June 2022 - Early Bird discounts ending on 30 May 2022

Mon - Wed: 8:30am - 5:00pm Course material
Thurs: 8:30am - 12:30pm Course material
Thurs: 1:00pm - 5:00pm Individual or group revision

Examination:
Online examination may be taken at a time to suit you on the Friday or until Saturday the following week. All the material for the exam will be covered in the course (and is in the notes). The examination will be held online. You will be able to take the exam anytime over a nine-day period from immediately after the course. To take the exam online you will require a computer with an internet connection, video camera, microphone, Chrome web browser, and permissions to install Chrome extensions.
